Mohand Aarav Bessaoud is no more. Former officer of the National Liberation Army during the war of Algeria, former opponent during the Ben Bella and Boumediene administrations, Bessaoud was especially known for being one of the founders of the Berber Academy in Paris in 1967. Mohand Aarav Bessaoud died on the first of January 2002.
